I had been looking forward to this wedding for quite some time, as Sarah is the daughter of one of my first ever clients when I moved back to Chicago and started LuvEd! Sarah was 15 when I met her at their first family shoot and now she's grown up, graduated college and is married... so it's been awhile! (oh boy I'm getting old) Her family has supported me throughout my time growing my business following me on social media, supporting gallery events I've put on, they've been there since the beginning and feel more like friends than anything, so to join them on this big day was such a treat!
The morning of the wedding was so calm! Sarah got ready with all her bridesmaids and her mom by her side, and Kameron got ready with all of his groomsmen. They decided to stay traditional and not see each other until the wedding ceremony, and their timeline of the day allowed that to work well, so the bride stayed hidden until it was time for her to walk down the aisle. In order to save a bit of time, we did some separate shots of all the girls and all the guys at the venue prior to the ceremony - and we could clearly see that both our bride and groom were so lucky to have such fun, caring, kind friends and family by their side for this day!
Once it was ceremony time, everyone gathered outside at Seven Bridges Golf Club - which was gorgeously decorated with an arch and white wedding chairs. The weather was perfect and it was such a gorgeous scene! When the music began, I was kind of caught off guard, but then quickly realized the music with lyrics being played was the PERFECT choice for this group. I loved the way everyone walked into the ceremony. Although, I couldn't help but tear up when it was time for Sarah to be escorted by her dad. I've been personally touched seeing this families love for each other and I'm sure this moment was not easy! When it was time to give her away you could tell he just didn't want to let go! I'm so happy I had Brianne, my assistant, photographing up front, because I was definitely in back having my own little moment!
After the I do's - and lots and lots of happy tears had by all, everyone met up to start the formal photos and we were off to work! All around, this couple, their families, their friends were such a joy to work with. Until it was time for us to leave, we had such a great time watching Sarah and Kameron be loved and supported by so many people. I truly can't wait to see where life takes them, and whether it's as their photographer or not, I hope they keep me posted on their journey, because there is a lot of LUV for these two! Congratulations Sarah & Kameron!
